Report Cards & Achievement
Report Cards | Report cards are issued at the end of each quarter. |
Progress Reports |
Progress reports are sent home midway through each quarter; grades 4-8 families can view real-time progress reports through Powerschool.

Honor Roll | Any student in grades 5-8 who achieves a report card of all As and Bs - including effort/conduct and in all weekly classes - merit Honor Roll status for that particular grading period. |
Conferences | Parent-teacher conferences are encouraged and can be scheduled with the teacher before or after school hours. In first and second quarter, conferences are on scheduled days. |
CYO/Activity Eligibility |
Students must earn a 2.0 grade point average and satisfactory conduct in order to be eligible at the time of registration to participate in the CYO sports program and/or all extracurricular activities. Special class grades are tabulated in the grade point average. |
Standardized Test Results

Iowa Test of Basic Skills
Each fall, all students in Grades 1-7 at Divine Child Elementary School take the Iowa Assessments Test. The tests are used by the faculty to evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum and the learning styles of individual students. The administration uses these results to gauge the overall achievement of our students in relation to those across the country.
Cognitive Abilities Test
The Cognitive Abilities Test is used to assess students’ abilities in reasoning and problem solving using verbal, quantitative and non-verbal (spatial) symbols.
High School Placement Test
8th graders at Divine Child Elementary School take the High School Placement Test (used for admittance and class placement to Catholic high schools, including Divine Child High School).
