Sacraments

Before children may receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist for the first time at Church of the Divine Child, they must:

1. Complete at least one full year of structured faith formation before beginning sacramental preparation.
2. Submit a copy of their baptismal certificate.

Formation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation is a two year program through the parish school or weekly religious education class for children in the 7th and 8th grade. In addition to weekly course work, the preparation includes completing service in three component areas and a written reflection about each area of service. During the 8th grade, all Confirmed attend a day of Retreat at a Catholic Retreat Center.

Before children may receive the sacrament of Confirmation at the Church of the Divine Child, they must:

1. Meet structured faith formation requirements.
2. Submit a copy of their baptismal certificate.
3. Choose a sponsor to help him/her prepare to receive the sacrament.
